A work unit  that was recorded when the telescope at Arecibo was pointing at the sky   in and around Las Vegas is likely to show a large power reading.   Two likely causes for this interference are the siren that  goes off when someone hits the jackpot on one of the slot machines or  Wayne Newton hitting a high note during his 8:00 o'clock show.
