Many  work units that were generated during the last round of the NBA (National Basketball Association) tournament  contained large amounts of earth bound interference which caused large power readings.  The constant squeaking caused by the players tennis shoes sliding on the wood floor produced a noise  that  was coincidentally the exact frequency and decibel range as an extraterrestrial signal.
